ULTRA RARE The Beatles (White Album) “JOY” Promotional Poster 1968!
Beatles "Joy" Holiday Greeting Poster (Apple, 1968). Designed as a mail-out gift promotion for record stores, this Beatles poster is a photograph of a collage of sorts with an apple at the center, and a photo of the Beatles to its left, and the (FULL) names of all four members of the band printed in calligraphy near the bottom edge.
Measures approximately 17" x 22". In VG/VG+ condition, with pinholes in each corner, remnants of tape on the verso from a previous hanging, and light creasing. Extremely Rare.
It's fairly common knowledge that The Beatles originally planned to call the album A Doll's House after playwright Henrik Ibsen's play. However, when the group Family used the title Music from a Doll's House for its debut album, The Beatles' title was scrapped. This poster was used as a promotional tool to promote Apple & The Beatles new album in 68’
You see The Beatles “It’s Here” poster offered occasionally, this poster almost never comes up for sale.
There are not many of these “JOY” posters left in existence today. They are extremely rare to find, good luck & Happy Collecting.
