Description

Here's an antique piece of office equipment: a tally or payroll counter from Denominator Adding Machine Company, Brooklyn NY.
The description by the Smithsonian Institute (https://americanhistory.si.edu/collections/search/object/nmah_690550) suggests that it was manufactured in the early 1920s. The patent application referenced on the front was eventually approved as U. S. Patent 1,444,586, February 6, 1923.  It's in working condition (press the buttons and the numbers increment; reset wing nut on the left can be twisted to return the counters to zero) but the key and metal plate on the right for holding the currency are missing, the 5c key has lost most of its paint and the display window could use some cleaning.
Item measures approximately 12" x 3 3/4" x 3".

Shipping and Payment Information
I will sell and ship this item only within the USA — no exceptions. I will ship only to the address of the winning bidder, not to a third party address. The address I ship to must be a real address, not a Post Office Box.
The shipping charge includes
estimated
postage, insurance, ample padding, and a heavy duty shipping carton.  If my estimate is too high I'll refund the difference.  If there is loss, theft or damage during transit, I will provide the postage and insurance receipts and you will need to process the insurance claim, as I am not able to conduct insurance claims from this end.  Therefore, please examine the outside of the parcel and note any visible damage to the carton on the signature form when it is delivered, open the parcel with care, and retain all packing materials, as these will be evidence required by the insurance claims adjuster.
This item may also be sold as in-person pickup; I will provide the pickup address after receiving payment and the funds have cleared my bank.  I’m also willing to personally deliver it for free within a 50 mile radius of Boston, MA.  I will deliver only to the address of the winning bidder, not to a third party address.
If you are the winning bidder and do not comply with these requirements, the sale is void, and the item will be re-listed.
Thank you for your interest!
